The Deep Read Edition

One-to-One Narrative Coaching

A three-month reflective coaching journey for people in midlife who want clarity, authorship, and space to think properly.

Most people don’t arrive at The Deep Read because life is falling apart. They arrive because something no longer fits as it once did.

On paper, things may look fine — even successful.
Internally, there’s a sense that the story you’re living deserves closer attention.

The Deep Read offers a calm, structured pause to read your life properly — and to choose what comes next with intention rather than habit.

What this experience offers

The Deep Read is a one-to-one narrative coaching journey designed to help you:

  • make sense of the chapters that shaped you
  • recognise patterns you’ve been living inside
  • clarify where you are now, without judgement
  • step into authorship of your next chapter

This is not motivational coaching. It’s not about optimisation or fixing.

It’s about understanding your story well enough to choose differently.

How The Deep Read unfolds

The work is shaped as a three-act journey — reading, editing, and writing.

Act I: The Reading

Clarifying your story so far

A person holding an open book in front of their face in bright natural light, representing Act I: The Reading phase of The Book of You narrative coaching.

We slow the pace and explore the key chapters of your life, turning points, relationships, decisions, and moments that shaped how you see yourself and the world.

The aim here is clarity, not analysis for its own sake.

Act II: The Editing

Release What No Longer Serves

Hands using a gold fountain pen to gently edit and mark patterns in an open book, illustrating Act II: The Editing process in life narrative coaching.

As patterns emerge, we gently examine the beliefs, roles, and narratives you’ve carried forward, noticing what once helped you, and what may now be limiting you.

This is about discernment, not self-criticism.

Act III: The Writing

Shaping your next chapter with intention

A close-up of a hand holding a red pen while writing in a notebook, depicting Act III: The Writing and the creation of a new life chapter.

With a clearer sense of authorship, we turn toward what comes next — exploring direction, choice, and possibility grounded in who you are now, not who you used to be.

Insight is translated into thoughtful, realistic action.

By the end of the three months, you will have integrated the difficult chapters and the golden threads into one cohesive narrative, closing the book on outdated scripts and difficult chapters, and finally stepping into a story that feels entirely your own.

What You’ll Walk Away With

  • A clearer understanding of your story so far, the patterns, turning points, and quiet truths that have shaped you.

  • Language for what has felt inarticulate, the things you’ve sensed but never quite been able to name.

  • A renewed relationship with yourself, one marked by compassion, curiosity, and a sense of authorship.

  • Perspective on what no longer fits, and why certain roles, expectations, or identities feel tight or outdated.

  • A grounded sense of direction, not a five‑year plan, but a felt sense of what wants to come next.

  • A written manuscript of your life so far, a document that brings coherence, dignity, and clarity to your story.

  • A way of seeing yourself that is kinder, truer, and more spacious, something you can return to long after the sessions end.

The Edition Includes

  • Six one-to-one narrative coaching sessions

  • Personal written correspondence between sessions

  • Direct support access throughout the journey

  • A bespoke “Final Manuscript” — a reflective summary of your journey and insights

Who is this for

The Deep Read is particularly suited to people who:

  • are in midlife (chronologically or emotionally)
  • feel capable and functional, yet quietly unfinished
  • value depth, reflection, and thoughtful conversation
  • prefer private, one-to-one work
  • want clarity rather than quick answers

You don’t need to be in crisis.
You simply need to be ready to pay attention.

There is no urgency in this work. You won’t be pushed toward dramatic change or premature decisions.

We move at the pace understanding requires.

This is a place to think properly — something many people haven’t had space to do for years.
