The Collective Edition
Small-Group Narrative Coaching
Next circle begins April 21st
Now accepting applications.
I spent 40 yrs waiting for the next chapter to start.
I realised I had to be the one to pick up the pen.
Will you join me?
A guided group experience for people in midlife who want clarity, perspective, and the reassurance of not doing this work alone.
Some insights arrive best in private. Others arrive when we hear our own questions echoed in the stories of others.
The Collective is for those who sense that their story doesn’t need solving — it needs context.
It offers a shared, carefully held space to reflect on your life alongside a small group of others who are navigating similar questions of meaning, direction, and authorship in midlife.
What this experience offers
The Collective is a small-group narrative coaching journey designed to help you:
- make sense of your life in a wider human context
- recognise patterns by seeing them reflected in others
- feel less alone in midlife questioning
- gain clarity through shared reflection and guided conversation
This is not group therapy. It’s not about oversharing or fixing.
It’s about reading your life alongside others, with care and perspective.
How The Collective unfolds
The work follows the same narrative arc as all Book of You work — reading, editing, and writing — held within a group context over 6 weekly sessions.
Act I: The Reading
Seeing your story more clearly
Through guided reflection and structured conversation, you begin to explore the chapters and themes of your life — noticing what has shaped you and how you arrived here.
Listening to others often reveals what you haven’t yet been able to name in yourself.
Act II: The Editing
Learning through perspective
As stories are shared, patterns become visible — not just your own, but the cultural, relational, and generational narratives many of us carry.
This creates a gentler kind of insight: less self-judgement, more understanding.
Act III: The Writing
Clarifying what comes next
With increased clarity and reassurance, attention turns toward the next chapter.
You’ll explore direction, intention, and choice — supported by the perspective of the group and guided facilitation that keeps the work grounded and purposeful.
How the group works
The Collective is deliberately small and facilitated.
-
Groups are kept intimate to allow depth and safety
-
You are never required to share more than you wish
-
Listening is as valuable as speaking
-
Structure is held gently, not rigidly
The work is designed to feel contained, respectful, and human.
What You’ll Walk Away With
- A sense of belonging: the relief of hearing your own questions echoed in the stories of others.
- Perspective that softens self‑judgement: the kind that only arrives when you’re witnessed with care.
- Language for the chapter you’re in and the confidence to name what matters now.
- A renewed trust in your own voice strengthened by the gentle rhythm of listening and being listened to.
- Clarity about what’s shifting in your life and why certain long‑held patterns no longer feel like home.
- A deeper understanding of your story shaped not just by your own reflections, but by the resonance of the group.
- A sense of forward movement: subtle, grounded, and rooted in your own pace.
What’s included
- Weekly facilitated group sessions
- Guided reflection prompts between meetings
- Shared conversation held with care and boundaries
- Optional written reflections to support integration
Everything is designed to support clarity without overwhelm.
Who The Collective is for
The Collective is well-suited to people who:
- are in midlife or transition
- value reflection but don’t want to do it alone
- are curious about their story in relation to others
- want perspective as much as depth
- appreciate thoughtful group spaces
You don’t need to be confident in groups. You just need to be open to listening.
This is not a fast or confrontational space. The group moves at a human pace, with clear boundaries and respectful facilitation. There is no pressure to perform, disclose, or reach conclusions quickly.
Safety comes from structure not from intensity.
