The Residency Edition

An Immersive Reflective Retreat

An in-person residency for people who need distance from everyday life in order to see their story clearly.

Some chapters can’t be read properly from inside daily life.

The Residency is designed for moments when reflection needs space — physical, mental, and emotional.

A deliberate pause away from routine, responsibility, and noise, allowing you to step back and take stock of your life with fresh perspective.

This is not an escape. It’s a return, a return to clarity, authorship, and direction.

What this experience offers

The Residency is an immersive reflective experience designed to help you:

  • step out of momentum and expectation

  • see your life from a wider vantage point

  • gain clarity on where you’ve been and where you’re going

  • reset direction without rushing decisions

It’s not a productivity retreat. It’s not about fixing or reinventing yourself.

It’s about creating the conditions for insight to arrive naturally.

How The Residency unfolds

The Residency follows the same narrative arc as all Book of You work, reading, editing, and writing, held within an immersive environment.

Act I: The Reading

Arriving and orienting

We begin by slowing down. Through guided reflection and conversation, you’re invited to step out of everyday roles and begin noticing your life as a whole — not just the current chapter.

The aim is presence, not performance.

Act II: The Editing

Gaining perspective

As space opens, patterns become clearer.

Beliefs, habits, and narratives that once felt fixed can be seen more gently, from a distance that allows understanding rather than judgement.

This is where perspective does its quiet work.

Act III: The Writing

Resetting direction

With clarity comes choice.

The final stage of the residency focuses on shaping what comes next — not in rigid plans, but in grounded intention. You leave with a clearer sense of direction, language for what matters now, and a felt sense of authorship.

What You’ll Walk Away With

  • Space to hear yourself again — the kind of clarity that only arrives when life becomes quiet enough.
  • A renewed sense of direction — not forced, not rushed, but discovered in your own time.
  • A deeper connection to what matters now — the values, desires, and truths that have been waiting beneath the noise.
  • A felt sense of authorship — the confidence to shape the next chapter with intention rather than momentum.
  • A shift in perspective — the kind that comes from stepping outside your life long enough to see it clearly.
  • A written reflection of your time away — a document that captures what surfaced, what softened, and what wants to unfold next.
  • A quieter, steadier relationship with yourself — something you can carry back into daily life.

What’s included

  • A 48-hour in-person residency
  • Guided reflective sessions and prompts
  • Time and space for solitude and integration

How The Residency works

The Residency is designed as a rhythmic experience — a balance of structure and ease, depth and lightness.

Across the residency, you can expect:

  • Guided reflective workshops

  • Thoughtfully facilitated sessions that invite insight, not instruction. These are spaces to explore themes, notice patterns, and bring language to what matters — without performance or pressure.

  • Quiet, restorative practices

  • Simple, accessible moments of stillness that help you slow your nervous system and listen more clearly. No experience required, no spiritual overlay.

  • Meaningful shared moments

  • Gentle ceremonies and intentional transitions that mark shifts — opening, closing, letting go, and stepping forward — held with care rather than drama.

  • Unstructured time

  • Space to walk, rest, think, talk, or do nothing at all. Often, this is where the most important insights arrive.

  • Playfulness and ease

  • Laughter, warmth, good food, and moments of lightness. Reflection doesn’t have to be heavy to be meaningful.

Everything is optional.

Nothing is performative.

The experience is designed to feel human, spacious, and quietly transformative.

Who The Residency is for

The Residency is well-suited to people who:

  • feel at a crossroads or turning point
  • need distance from daily life to think clearly
  • value depth, quiet, and perspective
  • are comfortable with reflection and inner work
  • want a reset without dramatic upheaval

You don’t need answers before you arrive. You need space to listen.

This is not an intense or confrontational retreat. The Residency moves slowly and deliberately, with clear boundaries and thoughtful facilitation.

There is no expectation of breakthrough moments — only openness to what emerges when you give yourself proper attention.

Clarity arrives when it’s ready.

Attending a Residency

Residencies are offered periodically and require a short conversation beforehand to ensure they’re the right fit — for you and for the group.

This is about care, not exclusivity.

Some chapters ask for space before they can be written.
